as a teacher in fine arts and art history Christa brings knowledge and inspiration to her students. Christa specializes in watercolor, acrylics,
and mixed media, and she is known for her ability to intertwine observation, emotion, and imagination in her work. Her aim is to create a
supportive and encouraging environment, allowing each participant to discover their unique voice and style. She believes that art is a powerful
form of expression and a means of connecting with oneself and the world. With Christa van Kan as your guide, you can expect a week filled

What to expect during the week?
• Start Your Day Mindfully. Each morning, we will begin with gentle exercises and a short, guided meditation to awaken the body and
  mind, setting a peaceful and focused tone for the day ahead. After breakfast, we will dive into our daily program full of artistic discovery and
  cultural engagement. In addition, the program offers ample space for moments of rest or for you to spend your time as you wish.

• Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with diverse materials such as watercolor, pencil, charcoal, and acrylic paint, as well as
anything you might find during our outings. We will practice working en plein air, from memory, and through imagination, using your own
photographs and reference images as inspiration.
